Local Artisan looking for space? Maritime Mosaic is your place.
For a very nominal fee, owner Karen MacKinnon rents out small pockets of retail space to local artisans who manage their own inventories and stock their own shelves.
Meanwhile Karen manages the business side of things, paying overheads, staffing, helping customers, and giving everyone a chance who wants to be a part of Maritime Mosaic.

Our Story: The Expansion of Maritime Mosaic
When owner Karen MacKinnon moved her new business up the street to the iconic Amherst Dayle’s Grand Market building she was taking a big step forward to bringing vitality back to a building that many people felt might never be used as the incredible retail space that it was, ever again.
People have always travelled to Amherst to shop in this much-loved building, and now they can again. There is something for everyone’s tastes to be found at Maritime Mosaic.
This location was once the largest department store east of Montreal, and now it has been revitalized to support artisans and creative entrepreneurs, and to build the local economy in a new collective way.
